These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the access to and use of this website and the services provided by NQ HomeWise Pty Ltd (“NQ HomeWise”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

NQ HomeWise offers home maintenance, repairs, minor improvement services and associated labour for residential properties within the Mackay Region of Queensland.
Service offerings may change or expand without notice.

We reserve the right to refuse service where conditions are unsafe, unlawful, or outside our operational scope.

2. Quotes and Pricing

2.1 Quotes

    • All quotes are valid for 30 days.
    • Quotes are based on information available at the time and may change if conditions differ upon commencement.

2.2 Variations

Any change in project requirements, delays caused by customer action/inaction, or discovery of hidden issues (e.g., rot, pests, hazardous materials) will result in a written variation requiring customer approval.

2.3 Call-Out Fees

Minimum service charges, call-out fees, and travel allowances may apply and will be disclosed prior to booking.

2.4 Materials

Prices for fixtures, equipment or third-party products will be separately itemised if supplied by NQ HomeWise.

3. Access and Site Responsibilities

Customers must ensure:

    • free, safe and uninterrupted access to the service area
    • hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos) are disclosed prior to work
    • pets and children remain secured away from work zones

NQ HomeWise may reschedule or withdraw services if safety or accessibility requirements are not met.

4. Scheduling and Cancellations

    • Appointment times are estimates only and may vary due to operational demands.
    •  Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a call-out fee.
    • Failure to be present or to provide access at the scheduled time may be treated as a cancellation.


5. Payment Terms

    • Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise stated in writing.
    • Deposits may be required for large or material-dependent works.
    • Payments not received on time may incur interest at 2% per month.
    • Services may be paused if outstanding balances remain unpaid.

6. Workmanship Warranty & Product Guarantees

6.1 Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion date.
6.2 Warranty applies only to work completed by NQ HomeWise and does not cover:

    • normal wear and tear
    • defects in customer-supplied materials
    • changes or repairs done by others
    • environmental or accidental damage

6.3 Materials are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable).
We may assist customers in lodging claims but are not responsible for manufacturer decisions.

7. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights. If services fail to meet acceptable quality or are not provided with due care and skill, you may be entitled to:

    • repair or correction of service
    • re-performance of the service
    • refund for the affected portion

8. Liability and Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

    • NQ HomeWise is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of income, rental loss, or delay-related costs.
    • Customers are responsible for any additional costs caused by inaccurate information, undisclosed hazards, or interference with the work.

Customers indemnify NQ HomeWise against claims arising from unsafe site conditions outside our control.

9. Use of Website

All content is for general guidance only and may change without notice.
You agree not to:

    • use the site for unlawful purposes
    • copy or redistribute materials without written consent

Website access may be withdrawn or interrupted without liability.


10. Intellectual Property

All branding, documents, graphics, copy and layouts belong to NQ HomeWise.
Reproduction or distribution without authorisation is prohibited.

11. Privacy

Personal information is collected and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
